At Christine Cheryl Ceramics our focus is on creating well-designed functional kitchen accessories, tableware, and items for the home and garden. It is our desire that when using our pieces, it will take the mundane out of your daily rituals.
My private home studio is located in beautiful Bastrop Texas, just a short hop from Austin. Known for loblolly pines, its teaming with wildlife and beautiful scenic backdrops.
I have been throwing mud for 25 years. Each piece is thrown on the potter's wheel or hand built by me. I work in small batches which allows me to focus on all the small details. You will feel the touch of my hands on all finished wares. I love how this adds to the rustic charm of handmade. It will connect you, the receiver to me the maker. This connection allows for an organic intimacy through art.
Since each piece is made by hand and not mass produced, no two pieces will ever be exactly alike. Slight variations are to be expected in both glaze and form, a most sought after quality of handmade pottery.
